Building from Kauer's hugely-popular Titan series, the Korona is a California classic reimagined. Alder body, 25.5" scale with a bolt on Maple neck—the result is a highly customizable template that is versatile in every setting. Twang? Sure we can do that. Jazz? I guess why not. Full out rock and roll? Bet your ass buddy. The Korona is a comfortable body with a lightweight feel, and with Kauer's wide variety of options, the Korona can do whatever you need.
With this Korona (#354), you get a choice of pickguards. We knew we wanted Kauer's lovely Charcoal Frost finish, and we were not disappointed! Following that '60s custom-color vibe, we originally ordered a Mint Green pickguard. But after putting the guitar together, Kauer recommended we consider a Red Pearloid guitar. The look is loud and will definitely turn heads. It's undeniably cool, but maybe not for everybody. So if the Red just isn't your style, this guitar includes a Mint Green guard, too. Each pickguard comes with its own matching kill switch, too. Which one is your favorite?
For pickups, this Korona sports Lollar Jazzmasters—an appropriate match for the Descendant Vibrato system. These are dynamic, full-sounding pickups with a lot of sparkle, and the three-way switch, volume, and tone controls lend a ton of flexibility. Plus, you get the addition of a kill switch to add depth and variety to your playing.

Like a lot of Kauers, this Korona feels like a true individual—one of one, not just the same old same old off the line. We're consistently impressed by Kauer's attention to detail, and this Korona is such a killer guitar! It includes a Mono gig bag, and custom guitars like this just beg to be played. Too cool!
